Top 5 Predicted Line Ups

These aren't so much predicted line ups as much as they are more the line ups I would personally play. This is based on some transfer rumours becoming true.

Chelsea

I don't think Mourinho will change a thing. There have been no rumours of obvious intent for a particular player. Chelsea have been linked with a few players but none as a marquee signing. Many have said that Chelsea will strengthen but I don't actually see that happening. It seems strange that the great Mourinho may well feel that his side is already good enough. Despite the fact he felt the need to defend his way to the title towards the end of the season and is far off the pace in the Champions League. With no new players why would you start a different team to last year? Personally I would like to see Oscar played more. Oscar can play across the front three and, although a staple of Mourinho's management, I would like to see more rotation. Looking at this team, not to say they are bad players, I believe Willian and Ramires can be improved. Imagine Pogba & Reus being added.. Or Bale and Schweinsteigger. These players would take them to next level. I will be tough to defend the title this year but lets not forget how dominant Chelsea were at the start of last season.

Manchester United

Yes De Gea is going to Real Madrid and no Ramos isn't coming the other way. With out proper protection from Midfield I just want it to be known (if it does happen) that I think Ramos is overrated and will go charging around David Luiz style giving away all sorts of fouls and chances if he were to sign for United. He was a far better as a right back and should go to Manchester United and play in that position, but we know that will never happen because he wants to be the main man. Anyway I think they could get the more exciting Otamendi, however, Smalling isn't good enough. With a strong defensive midfielder the pair could work but other teams will be relishing the lack of strength in defence. They obviously need a right back and at this point i'm not sure who it will be. Blind in my opinion is the best left back they have and a much better full back than a defensive midfielder. However, It is the midfield and attack that are exciting about this team. Schneiderling and Carrick will provide good defensive quality and should thread the ball well, something Carrick did brilliantly last season, and therefore give stability to the unpredictable front four. Rooney should play up top. If he plays every game as an out and out striker, he will score 25 goals. This he has proved over the last ten years. Depay is exciting, everything should go through Mata, no doubt, and Di Maria should be given time as he is world class. With Blind at left back he can play slightly in from the wing, as can Mata if the squad rotates. These are better positions for their playing style. With the depth in their substitutions they can change things around easily and have a lot of talent to come on the pitch. I think Hernandez is more than capable of being the sole striker here and I would keep him. Fellaini can replace Mata for route one football and Herrerra and Young don't really deserve to be left out. Actually the front four can all be rotated. Manchester United should make a genuine title charge next season providing Carrick is fit or Schneidiling successfully fills his role, or better yet, plays along side hime.

Arsenal

This is a 4-4-2 diamond formation but it is a little false in it's representation of players positions. Sanchez will be likely out wide but given a general freedom, as will Ramsey. I thought it did more of an injustice to make Ramsey an actual winger though. I see a lot of freedom in this attack with players filling space available as opposed to having set positions. Coquelin & Giroud being the constants in defensive midfield and attack. Two noticeable admissions from the team are Ozil & Walcott. I think Giroud is a more reliable striker than Walcott. It's been years and he has still not made a consistent sizeable contribution to the team. I like him and he would slot in for Giroud if needed but I would personally stick with Giroud. By the way I am indeed suggesting that if Arsenal capture Vidal they will not spend big on an attacker as well. Ozil is missing because I don't think he has done enough. I wouldn't play him against stronger opposition as I would favour a steelier work ethic (hence Vidal). The defence is pretty solid. I would keep it how it is for now with Gibbs and Bellerin being worthy replacements as full backs. With the addition of Cech and a slightly more defence cautious midfield they should concede fewer goals which may just change their fortunes.

Manchester City

Now, first off, it may be unlikely Wilshere will join Manchester City but a part of me thinks that it could just be the big upset of the summer. I definitely think that Sterling will join City. I have gone for a 4-4-2 diamond formation again as I think it suits these particular players. Silva and Sterling could play out wide however, I think Silva is most effective in the middle and giving Sterling a freedom role behind Aguero will cause problems for defenders. I will be surprised if Fernandinho isn't replaced but I prefer him to Fernando. In this system he will play as a defensive midfielder/3rd centre back, converting the team to a 3-5-2 formation. Both full backs are good going forward and will support the attack to give width. With three directly behind him, perhaps this will get the best out of Yaya Toure who will have a freedom to make his trademark marauding runs. This is actually an extremely powerful side. Wilshere, Toure & Silva will pass the ball between each other beautifully and Sterling and Aguero will terrorise defences. If Wilshere, Silva & Aguero could keep fit and if Kompany & Toure could find form then this team could well win the title. I'm sure this will however, be very different to the City we see at the start of next season.

Liverpool

Okay so they actually finished 6th and therefore Tottenham should actually be here too. Tottenham will be good this year probably, but there is no way of knowing how an earth they will line up (because they're Tottenham) and in my opinion it will be a far from exciting team. Now the new signings of Firmino, Ings and, potentially, Benteke aren't in here because, if Sturridge is fit, they should play Sturridge. The reason for this 4-3-3 formation is the midfield three. Can, Henderson & Milner. This is about as a dependable three as you can get in the premier league. Not world beaters but hard sloggers a mix of energy, technicality, youth and experience. I like this midfield, I think it will provide a much needed shield to the defence. Can can drop back as the third defender, Milner has a lot to offer going forward and has never really been allowed to show it and Henderson may well step up to be Mr Liverpool this year. I would give Lovren another go, he may have had a poor season but he had a good season at Southampton, so we know he is capable. Personally I think Skirtle is the weak link that Liverpool don't see but he is a far better option than Sakho who, as far as I can tell, can't actually kick a ball correctly. Moreno shows some promise and surely he can be coached to become a better player. Clyne is a fantastic addition and Mignolet proved he is worthy towards the end of last season. As for the front three, many people are excited by Liverpool's signings but I think they are once again just throwing money about. They don't need four central strikers. All of whom can't play in other positions, well perhaps Firmino can be applied in different positions but 30 million for 7 goals in a season is big gamble. Coutinhio is a fantastic player in my eyes as is Lallanna, plagued by injuries last season, Lallanna is actually a joy to watch when he is on form and I think he has a lot more to offer. Provided they stay fit, which is a big ask, this is a dependable team and I have no doubt this team would challenge for top four.
