Are Chelsea World Class
This is a little look at how far, I believe, Chelsea are from being an elite European team and I am using Chelsea as the best in the Premier League and therefore highlighting how far behind the Premier League is. Forgive the messiness, but hopefully you can make a little sense of it. I think quite simply the top teams in Europe have many more world class players.
I believe all these teams have at least 4 world class defenders.
Example: (Similar players highlighted by colour)
Real Madrid: Benzema, Ronaldo, Bale , Rodrigues, Kroos, Modric, Kh ediera - 7 (offensive 5/6)
Barcelona: Suarez, Messi Neyma r, Iniesta, Rakitic (arguably) Busquets - 6 (offensive 4/5)
Munich: Lewendawski, Robben, Ribery Goetze, Schweinsteigge r, Xabi Alonso. 6 (offensive 5/6)
Chelsea: Costa, Hazard, Fabreg as, Matic. 4 (offensive 3)
Bayern also have Muller & Alcantara - (which is worrying)
Rankings Matched Up. Ranked players against their colour counterparts. Lowest wins.
BA - 1-1-2-3-3-2 = 12 - 1st Had Xavi this season and potentially buying Pogba.
RM - 3-2-1-4-1-4 = 15 - 2nd Kroos & Modric treated as 1 & JesĂȘ looked a player before his injury.
BM - 4-3-3-1-2-3 = 16 - 3rd Muller & Alcantara to Add.
CH - 2-4-4-2-4-1 = 17 - 4th Oscar on his day the only other player who can compete with these names.

How Chelsea should improve
As a result I think that Chelsea's next transfers should be to buy their best players.
Candidates
Reus
Pogba
Khadiera
Bale
Messi
Varane
Chelsea fans would take
Walcott
Sterling
Schneiderlin
Koke
But I think these players above in the 'Chelsea fans would take' will not be guaranteed starters and if you are not a guaranteed starter then you will rarely play at Chelsea.
At this point however, It doesn't necessarily look like Mourinho is agreeing with this approach, instead only focusing on being the best defensive team in the premier league. I actually hope that other managers don't take the same approach.
