Ultimate 5-a-side: TEAM 4

Buffon: A top goalkeeper who may well have finally missed his chance to win the Champions League. He has served club and country well over his career never really faltering or drawing too much attention to himself. Dependable and reliable.

Cannavaro: The small defender was instrumental in Italy's surprising 2006 world cup win and is another of those that simply understands the game. He is not the tallest and what he lacked in an aerial presence through out his career, he made up for in determination and resilience. A hard tackler and dogged fighter, he is the type of guy you feel comfortable playing in front of.

Gerrard: Mr Liverpool. Steven Gerrard in his prime was a bit of a jack of all trades player. He liked to tackle, pass and score. Unquestionably a great player he can have a tendency to try and do everything himself, he can also lose composure and start chasing the ball, this can be a big problem on 5-a-side. However, what you do get is a powerful, driving player who can shoot from anywhere and isn't afraid of a hefty challenge. And lets not forget that he likes to score last minute goals. As long as he doesn't let the occasion get to him and try too hard, Gerrard would be a powerful presence for this team.

Zidane: The imperious Zidane was voted the best player of the last 50 years and is considered, by many, to be the greatest to ever play the game. He had a graceful style of play in which he glided around the pitch making the impossible seem like the norm. In my opinion, he is similar to Pirlo but perhaps a bit more dynamic. He is usually one step ahead of his opponent and has a turn of pace when he needs it. Plus you can always rely on him to remain calm when the utmost pressure surrounds him (well, with one notable exception.)

Ronaldo: There is still an argument for Ronaldo to be the greatest of all time. He is currently the Ballon D'or holder and looks set to become Real Madrid's all time top goalscorer. Nobody works harder than Ronaldo off the ball in attack. That's important because he often doesn't work hard while off the ball in defence. That would definitely be a weakness for this team, and I'm not sure how he will take to potentially not being the 'main man'. However, if their is an attack, Ronaldo will be involved. He is lightning fast, tricky and powerful, he should always be an outlet for this team. His other problem is his temperament which could see him sulk if things aren't going his way.

Strengths: Power. Last minute winners.

Weakness: Lack of discipline.

This seems to me that similar to team 3, Ronaldo will be left to his own devices to attack while the other three do most of the work. Luckily between the three of them they should be able to cover for him but it is never good to have a player that that isn't defending. This teams main weakness could come if the players lose discipline and get drawn to the ball leaving them exposed in defence. They are all powerful, fast and strong players who will possibly be the most physical of the four teams and therefore quite possible the most intimidating. They also have the players you most want on your team when you are in need of a goal and so that could give them a psychologic advantage. Discipline is key for this team. If they can keep it, then they could well be the best.

What do you think? Agree? Disagree? Are they your pick?
