Ultimate 5-a-side: TEAM 1

Neuer: You're heading towards goal just you and the keeper and.. wait a minute, where is the net? You can't see it because Neuer is blocking your view. While Neuer's sweeper keeper qualities wouldn't prove a factor in a 5-a-side game (assuming he is not allowed out of his area) he is still a man giant and a great reaction shot stopper. His distribution would be good and he won't be conceding too many goals.

Nesta: One of the most accomplished defenders to ever don a football shirt. Nesta knows what the attacker is going to do before the attacker knows himself. He is one of the few players who has at times looked a match for Messi (at times) and with his ball playing ability he would feed the other three all game.

Lampard: The under-rated midfielder. Few would probably pick him out of the 20 on show to be in the final team however, Lampard understands football, he has an incredible strike on him that would only become more potent at close range and has the presence of mind to make the right call at the right time. His pace could be an issue but his positioning should allow him to be a formidable opponent.

Ronaldinho: The king of the 5-a-side. I think that in all their primes and on all their days, despite the greatness of Messi & Ronaldo, Ronaldinho may well just be the outstanding player. He learn't his trade playing Futsal and he, more than anyone, would be enjoying himself. If he was feeling it, i'm not any team could keep him quiet.

Ronaldo: His name sake may have eclipsed him in stats but lets not forget how powerful this guy was when he was at his best. He practically won a world cup on his own in 2002 four years after he almost won a world cup on his own. Perhaps not quite as tricky as Ronaldinho, he had breakneck speed, perfect ball control and ruthless finishing. On his day he can't be stopped.

Team Strengths: Individual brilliance. Shooting. Possession.

Team Weakness: Defence.

So, I have basically outlined a lot of strengths for this team. Individually they are incredible but would they work as a team? Well, the worry would be a lack of defending. With Lampard not being the most accomplished defender in the world, it could mean Nesta has to do a lot of work in that department and judging by his opponents he'll have his work cut out with just one, let alone the runners that have left the sides of Ronaldo and Ronaldinho. Don't be fooled though, the two 'Rons' will make the tackles if they are there to be made, being a great attacker comes with an understanding of the game in general. Inevitbly this team would be caught on the counter attack. While the two Ron's close in on goal Lampard will no doubt take up a shooting position that will mean good options for them to score on each attack. It will come down to the conversion of chances, every attack this team goes on will leave them exposed and they will have to convert more than they miss. Luckily they have Ronaldino, Ronaldo and Lampard, so that may well happen.

Would this team come out on top?
Agree with how they would play?
