Should Angle Di Maria move on?

Angel Di Maria is heavily linked with a move away from Old Trafford following a fairly disastrous season. After becoming Manchester United's most expensive signing he failed to really live up to the hype. Now he is linked with a £40million move to PSG and the question is? Should he go?

I keep bringing myself back to the same point and that point is.. 'Remember those first three games'  he was scary in those first three games. In fact, the 5-3 loss they suffered at Leicester seemed to knock the form out of him. The goal he scored in that game was of such a high quality that it was almost worth the money United paid for him. After all, that is what you are looking for your top attackers, a goal that comes from a piece of sheer brilliance that other teams don't have the players to compete with.

You can see from the video how Di Maria has played over the last season and this year so far. He is still an extremely talented player.

Of course that video doesn't show all the mistakes he made, only his 'highlights' and the person who made it seems to be a Di Maria fan. He did struggle and there were games in which he under performed and made a lot of mistakes. He has a history of playing games in which his pass success rate in unbelievably low. He also didn't get that much game time, so potentially he is a bad trainer and Van Gaal didn't feel he deserved his place in the side.

He still managed 10 assists, despite poor form, which was the most of any United player. However, the question is with all these things considered, should he leave and should United let him leave? Well, I think he should stay and I think Manchester United should keep him. As I have mentioned there is no doubt he is a world class player and ultimately he should fight for his place in the squad. As he adapts to the English game I can see him being a massive asset to United and with the addition of there new midfielders he should have a bit more freedom to flourish.

Why would they sell him anyway? The would make a loss. Well the gamble United have to face is whether he will actually improve. £40million and the removal of his wages is probably quite appealing to them considering the depth they have in attack and if he has another poor season then his value will continue to decrease so they may well look back and they we should have got rid of him after that first season.

Obviously, Di Maria may well want to leave but again, a player of his quality should fight for his place in a team like United. The Premier League is a better league than the French league and potentially United are gearing up to be a better team that PSG. There is no guarantee he will find form at PSG and sometimes it's 'better the devil you know than the devil you don't' (I think thats the expression). Of course it's worth mentioning that his house got broken into in Manchester and personal reasons could end up dictating this move.

My overall though is that he should stay. He should fight for his place if he is happy in Manchester and United should definitely give him another chance. He is worth it for this goal alone..
