FA Cup Prediction

So the FA Cup is upon us and I think that this one really is difficult to choose. The head says Arsenal but the heart is edging towards Aston Villa.

Aston Villa had the momentum a few games ago but may just have lossed it with a couple of average performances after they secured Premier League survival. The fact they secured premier league survival may just hinder their desire as well. Ultimately, the way they started the season, they can consider this season a success with or with out a win.

Arsenal however, really have to win this game to render this a successful season for themselves. They have failed to make strides in the league but another FA cup win will at least ensure that they continue winning silverware and assert their dominance as one of the very best in English football.

Man for man of course Arsenal have the better squad and through the season have dispatched Aston Villa with ease. The football neutral will be hoping that this doesn't happen again and that Villa bring a little bang to the party. There is one man we are all relying on to do that, Benteke.

The big Belgian is key to Aston Villa, along with improving performances of their midfield players, Grealish, Cleverly & Delph, Villa have begun to look like a stronger outfit when they really need the win. The more they can get Benteke into the game the better they will be and it's very hard to stop him when he is having a good day.

So like I say this is tricky, Arsenal have a habit of choking slightly in these types of the games and I can see them very much making it at least difficult for themselves if not losing. However, I think the desire factor may just play enough of a part and the added relief of pressure on the arsenal players knowing they broke their trophy drought last year. Arsenal should take this game but I don't see it being easy. They should pick apart Aston Villa but will probably succumbe to a few counter attacks that they should have been better prepared for.

Here's hoping it's that exciting and yes, that will mean 2 FA cups in a row with the same scoreline.
